Promoting responsible drinking during big events

Promoting responsible drinking is a key commitment for Ursus Breweries and an opportunity for us to interact with consumers and deliver our responsibility messages during big events. During UNTOLD, one of the biggest international music festivals held in Romania, we carried out an awareness campaign about the dangers to which drivers can expose themselves if they consume alcohol before driving.
Our partners were Napoca Rally Academy pilots. With their help, the festival-goers experienced the sensation of a rally through a professional motorsport car simulator and took equilibrium tests experiencing several levels of drunkenness simulated with drunk goggles and limb weights. They thus experienced first-hand the risks of drunkenness without consuming alcohol. The racing drivers endorsed our responsibility messages and gave informed and experienced advice about how alcohol can affect people’s reactions and behaviour.
We also promoted our “ZerolaMie” mobile application (an application that estimates when your blood alcohol level reaches 0) through one-on-one interactions and an SMS campaign, and also gave people defensive driving training and sports driving training together with the Napoca Rally Academy professional drivers.
