Making amateur sports healthier

As part of the Prevention Agreement, the Dutch sport sector and the Dutch Brewers Association have committed themselves to making amateur sports accommodations and sports events healthier. The Dutch Brewers Association and the Dutch Olympic Committee/Dutch Sports Federation have signed a Declaration of Intent, which contains the following principles:

1. At every major sports event non-alcoholic beer is actively offered
2. As much communication and marketing material as possible in the non-alcoholic variant
3. Dutch Brewers Association provides sports events with a toolkit for the bar keepers to ensure a responsible alcohol serving, among other things focused on actively offering non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beer
4. Dutch Brewers support the communication campaign of the Dutch Health Ministry to prevent underage drinking
5. The self-regulatory marketing code for non-alcoholic beer is applicable to sports events
